This man went above and beyond. Creating a Glacier Park Surprise Engagement that was a blast. She is sure to remember this forever!
Rayce reached out to me a few moths ago to start planning this surprise engagement for Timber. He must be a smart guy because he totally let me do my thing when it came to planning the nitty gritty. Rayce trusted me to make this experience amazing for them both, and I delivered!
We chatted back and forth for a few days throwing around ideas. We settled on a vintage boho style picnic at the infamous Lake McDonald shore. Though, I couldn’t be sure what the weather would be like, as Montana spring comes in her own time, I did everything I could to be prepared for whatever might come our way. It was snow…snow came our way. Haha!
I pulled out all the stops on this one. I was able to find some pretty great pieces from this beautiful jute rug and throw blankets to these stunning pillows. And do you see that picnic basket? (find it HERE on Amazon!) Ah! So cute. I picked up some yummy sammies and some other snacks, including a little celebratory cake and this show was ready to go! I even grabbed Timber’s favorite wine and poured it into an aesthetic bottle for the vibes. Haha!
Is that not just the coziest little picnic you ever did see?
I brought my kiddos along for this one so that I could be super inconspicuous. I pretend to be shooting the landscape and hanging out with my kiddos. It worked like a charm. They arrived to the location just as I was finishing the set up, and I walked down to the dock and set up my tripod.
Timber and Rayce chatted with each other for a bit, enjoying the view with their cute little doggies, and then Rayce came over with his phone to ask if I could take a photo of them in front of the mountains. Just as we had planned. It worked like a charm because Timber later told me she tried to convince Rayce not to disturb me while I was busy taking photos of the landscape. Haha!
I turned his phone to video and offered to take a few photos with my “fancy” camera and said id be happy to send them to them on Instagram, just another little ploy. They agreed of course and after a bout two poses Rayce went down on one knee for the big question! It was so freaking cute! I was crying, they were crying. Poor Rayce, the video he got on his phone had to have been the shakiest video known to man because I was losing it. Haha!
After she said yes Rayce let her know that there was more. A beautiful picnic, and some dresses if she wanted to take some fancy photos too! I always recommend bringing extra clothes for your lady especially if you plan to go casual for the proposal. Its always nice for her to have the option to get all dressed up for photos, especially on such a special day. Timber was totally game for some fancy pics which made this day so much fun.
I had a few dresses in my truck from my client’s closet and we found the one that was perfect for her. We spent a good chunk of time taking photos and enjoying their picnic. These two were such a joy to work with, and we joked and told stories the entire session.
I guess I said all that just to say this…if you needed a sign to plan a Glacier Park Surprise Engagement or proposal session for the love of your life…you should definitely call me!
Xoxo
